Vhi Healthcare will reduce the premiums of 21 plans on 1 November 2017. Adult premium reductions will range from -1 to -9%. Vhi Healthcare will also end its half price kids offer on the “One Plan” range on this date with the exception of “One Plan Family” (€156.13) which will continue. Young adult rates for 18-20 year olds will also reduce.

Benefit Changes
The following changes will be made to a number of plans:
Reduce the outpatient excess to €100.
Increase outpatient benefits and include new benefit types.
Inclusion of Vhi Vision Care
Inclusion of Second Opinion from Best Doctors and remove co-payment from Vhi Joint Care screening.
Enhance the Cardiac Care package for Healthplus plans (benefit for the use of Urgent cardiac assessments services in Mater Private and Medfit pre and post-surgery exercise programmes).
Addition of Vhi Fertility programme to the Nurses and Teachers range of plans.
A number of plans will see enhanced benefits for cancer namely full cover for wigs/breast prosthesis, a manual lymph drainage benefit, a psycho-oncology counselling benefit, improved mammogram cover and a cancer care support benefit.

Vhi VisionCare package
This package will be added to several plans
Vhi Second Opinion Service
The Best Doctors Second Opinion Service, currently available to children on all in-patient Vhi plans will be extended to adults on the HealthPlus range of plans.
Vhi Fertility Programme
This benefit will be added to Teachers, Teachers Select, Nurses and Nurses Select plans.
