Vhi Healthcare will reduce the premiums of 53 plans on 1 July 2018. Reductions will range from -1 to -3% of net adult premiums. Vhi Healthcare will also begin a half price kids offer on the “One Plan” range, “Nurses Plan Select” and “Teachers Plan Select” plans on this date.

Vhi will allow all members of these plans to benefit from the reduction immediately and will waive a pro rata proportion of the premium payable on the balance of the policy to those policies that are mid-term.

Benefit Changes

The following changes will be made to a number of plans on 1 July:

• Vhi Paediatric Clinic – Cover for an initial consultation with a consultant and follow-up treatment in the Vhi Paediatric Clinic (located in Vhi Swiftcare Clinic, Balally) will be added to a number of plans.
• Vhi Swiftcare appointment services – Cover for appointment services have been added to a number of plans. Appointment services include consultant consultations (orthopaedic, oral & maxillofacial and sports medicine), dentist and physiotherapist visits.
• PMI 26 12 – Addition of strength & conditioning coach benefit
• PMI 06 10 – Removal of EAP service, amending the strength & conditioning coach benefit from 10 to 3 visits and Increasing the optical benefit to €150.

 

Rule changes

Vhi have also amended the exclusion on gender reassignment treatments. This exclusion will now be limited to the reversal of previous gender reassignment surgery.
