Laya Healthcare will release Simply Health Plus (€1,227.26 per adult, €385.31 per student/child) on 1 December 2014.

This plan provides cover for a private room in a public hospital and a semi-private room and day case cover in private hospitals with a €50 or €125 excess per private hospital claim depending on the private hospital. A co-payment will apply for listed orthopaedic procedures in the Galway Clinic and Beacon Clinic private hospitals.

Full cover is provided for day case and non-cardiac procedures in the Blackrock Clinic, Mater Private and Beacon private hospitals with a €200 excess per claim and €175 shortfall per night. No excess and full cover applies for cardiac procedures.

Three nights cover in a public hospital is provided for maternity accommodation costs and up to €3,500 for home births.

The plan has significant outpatient benefits such as 50% for the costs of GP visits, consultants, physiotherapists and alternative practitioners visits with a €1 outpatient excess per year.

This plan is available to all new and existing customers from this date.
