Laya Healthcare various changes 01.08.2016

Laya Healthcare will change the price of it’s ConnectCare 100 and SimplyHealth Excess plans on 1 August 2016. ConnectCare 100 adult price will decrease from €1,261.84 to €1,227.58, children 1&2 from €407.96 to €396.84 and children 3&4 from €343.16 to €335.12. Young adult rates will also change.
SimplyHealth Excess adult price will decrease from €1,348.26 to €1,327.78, children 1&2 from €367.82 to €362.96 and children 3&4 from €329.11 to €324.76. Young adult rates will also change.

Laya healthcare will carry out benefit changes from 1 August 2016:

1. Laya Healthcare will add its physioline benefit to ConnectCare 100 and SimplyHealth Excess.

2. Laya Healthcare will add GPlive and prescription service consultations from 1 August to ConnectCare 100.

GPlive video consultations allow the consumer to speak face to face with an Irish registered GP who can provide clinical advice and guidance. Prescription Service allows the consumer to order a prescription online 24 hours a day for a range of medical conditions. All prescriptions are reviewed and issued by an Irish registered GP.

3. Laya Healthcare will carry out a number of benefit & rule wording amendments to ConnectCare 100 and SimplyHealth Excess plans from the 1 August 2016:

Emergency Dental Benefit: Laya healthcare will update its definition of its emergency dental benefit to include that emergency dental treatment is not covered overseas.

Travel and Accommodation Benefit;
Laya healthcare will update its definition to include that treatment must take place in a laya healthcare participating hospital or treatment centre for outpatient radiotherapy or chemotherapy.

These changes will apply to all new and renewing customers from this date.
